Children who will be attending the program in 9 churches will march from the Baptist Church to Independence Park, where Rev. Percival Palmer will declare the games open. Various officials will also be in attendance as the torch is lit. The media houses have been invited to cover the event

Nine churches will participate in this 5-Day event which will take place on the following week-ends - 13 & 14, 20 & 21, 27 August.

The children will gather in Independence Park at 9:00 a.m. and march to the Sav-la-mar Primary School for the Closing Ceremony. There is great excitement being generated by the children and several sponsors including Grace Food Processors, Jamaica National Building Society (Montego Bay), KFC, & Jamaica Beverages have come on board. A new competitive sport - "Go Fish" has been added to the list. This is particularly exciting as the town is located by the sea, fishing being a natural for the citizens.
The event will be covered by main media houses.
