KidsGames San Diego 2004
Dates

There are 3 major components of the KidsGames week in San Diego:

1. Opening Ceremony (Regional)- For all participating kids, Olympic-style ceremony events in three regions feature march-in parade, lighting of the KidsGames torch, raising of the KidsGames 2004 flag, music, performances, demonstrations of competition events, and more… "Let the Games Begin!"

2. Daily Programs (Local)- For all participating kids, events during the week feature sports competitions, lessons in character development, fun games, dance, drama, media, compassion project and more.

3. Closing Ceremony (County)- For all participating kids & their families, a grand finale Olympic-style closing ceremony event features performances, music, medal competitions, awarding of medals to kids, final song by all participants, lowering of the KidsGames 2004 flag, and extinguishing of the KidsGames torch.

The KidsGames Closing Ceremony is an Olympic-style “grand finale” event that closes out the KidsGames week with a bang! It’s a chance for the children to celebrate a week of fun & learning together, to feel a part of something BIG and important, and – most of all – to have FUN! With lots of fanfare, it’s all about kids celebrating being kids. All participants from across San Diego County AND their families & friends are encouraged to attend.
