When did KidsGames begin?

KidsGames officially began in the year 2000 when Egypt, Kenya, India, USA, Sri Lanka and South Africa all ran KidsGames events. Over 75 countries have participated in KidsGames so far.

Where has KidsGames happened?

Countries on every continent have run KidsGames, from the top of Africa to the bottom, the Middle East, in South and North America, Asia, Europe and the Pacific.

What is the biggest KidsGames?

Some KidsGames in India and Egypt have had over 20,000 children involved.

What is the smallest KidsGames?

Some KidsGames involve less than a hundred children.

What are some of the amazing, weird and fun events in a KidsGames?

The New Zealand KidsGames had a "Gumboot Throwing" championship. A Gumboot is a type of shoe.
Kenya had a "Crazy Hat" competition where the children made hats from paper and then paraded in them.
Curacao had a "Go-Kart" competition where the children raced around a track on carts with wheels pretending to be Formula One racing car drivers.
Australia had a Grand Prix racing event where the children were pushed around the track in garbage/trash bins on wheels.



World Championships
Who are the current KidsGames World Champions?

KidsGames has World Championship events. The first one awarded was the World Water Bucket Championship to the kids of Kathmandu, Nepal in 2002. More Championships have been developed for the next Championship awarded on December 31st 2004.

What are the KidsGames World Championships?

There are 3 main World Championship events at the moment in KidsGames, all providing ways for children to compete and have fun with other children around the world. These are the WWBC, the 12X10 Relay and the mh Project.

What is the WWBC?

The WWBC stands for World Water Bucket Championship. It is a fun event with 10 players in a team. They pass water from a full bucket through their hands from one player to the next to an empty bucket. Their score is calculated by the amount of water in the second (or "Goal") bucket.

What is the 12X10 Relay?

The World 12X10 Relay Championship (or "12X10" for short) is a running, hopping, side-stepping relay with 12 players per team. It is a timed race with the fastest team winning.

What is the "mh" project?

The "mh" Project stands for The KidsGames Million Hours Project. KidsGames are encouraged to run compassion projects in their city or neighborhood and count the number of hours they have done. They submit the hours to the www.worldcupofkidsgames.com website and together kids from around the world can try and do 1,000,000 hours of Compassion or more for the world!

Can businesses sponsor KidsGames?

Sponsorship is done mostly at a city or country level with many KidsGames already been sponsored by drink companies, food companies, etc. Some give funding, some give cans of drink or T-shirts. KidsGames is all about partnering with different groups, organizations and companies. No one owns KidsGames - it is shared amongst all partners.

What have been the best sponsorship ideas?

In Egypt, Coca Cola provided 45,000 cans of drink to the participants.
